Trip planning

After MUCH deliberation, Karen I seem to have settled on a route -- with a few of issues yet to be worked out:
1.) We need to fit in a trip up to Cochrane, AB to see Sherri, Russ and family.
2.) There is no mid-trip escape plan. (I learned long ago to always have a contingency plan and San Fran back to Oakville is a LONG way to rush home.)
3.) Can we squeeze in a visit with Karen's cousin Mike in the L.A. area?

The trailer is now in our driveway, and the prep and loading has begun in full-force. We've also begun to figure this thing out, especially as I've never owned a trailer before! My experience has been limited to the occasional camping weekend with Wendy and Blake -- which has amounted to welcoming a cold beer from their fridge as we sleep in the adjacent tent.
